CBT-SP is a cognitive–behavioral psychotherapy program designed for patients who have previously attempted or thought of suicide. The intervention teaches patients skills to use alternative ways of thinking and behaving during episodes of suicidal crises and assists them in building a network of mental health services and social supports to prevent future suicide attempts. It is designed to be provided by individual therapists on a one-to-one basis.

Who should attend:
Primarily targeted towards Masters or Doctoral level clinicians with a background in CBT however, any mental health professionals who would like to join the workshop may do so as it fits with their role.

Important note about Continuing Education Credits (CEs):
This training has been accepted through AOCMHP as a MHACBO accredited and approved training. Attendees may receive a certificate for this training indicating MHACBO approval.
For those needing Social Work or other CEUs specifically, you can take your training completion certificate and course info to seek approval to your individual licensing boards. Beck Institute is unable to provide CEs for organizational trainings, whether virtual or in-person (unfortunately it is impossible with their current CE provider).
